news from the IGN site..
"Today, THQ announced their acquisition of Vigil Games, a Texas based studio currently working on next-gen titles scheduled to be released in 2008.
According to Jack Sorensen, executive vice president of world wide studios at THQ, "This acquisition is part of our Studio System strategy, which is designed to foster a singular vision and unique culture at each of our studios. Our system allows us to leverage resources across our entire development organization to the benefit of each of our studios.
Vigil Games is led by David Adams, the former director and creator of several NCsoft projects as well as Joe Madureira, who worked on both Marvel's Uncanny X-Men series and his own Battle Chasers series. Its first project is slated to be announced later this year. "
so looks like we will be able to see what the new game is by Vigil and Mad! by the end of the year and looks to be on the PS2(or PS3 by that time) and Xbox360 too...sweet!
