The Vigil games website has been updated vigilgames.com No new art or anything, but if you've been checking that site then you know an update is good to see. It also says they're working on Warhammer 40,000 MMO..hopefully we'll see some concept art soon.

I have some other things to share, but until I get the okay from Mad! then I can't post it. Mad! did share with we me a link to this artist Paul Richards autodestruct.com (site has some mature content) that works with him at Vigil. His style(to me) looks kinda like Mad! mixed with Campbell, very cool stuff. So hopefully that will keep people entertained until I can post the other stuff.

If you haven't seen already, Mad's Onslaught Reborn cover is out in stores, so go pick one or two or three up. I will be adding a big scan of the cover sometime tomorrow when I pick it up from my brothers.

Well I hope everyone had a good New Year and Christmas and got lots of cool stuff. Hopefully this year turns out to be a good one and we get to see lots of art from Joe.

*EDIT*Took awhile to get the book, but I got it now and uploaded a big scan of the cover.

Well as you all can see the site has recently been redesigned by yours truly. Nathen originally asked me to put up a new header image featuring Joe's variant cover to Onslaught Reborn, but it's been so long since I did the original site that I had lost all the files since I'm on a new pc now. So I decided to redesigned the site and make a few changes.

For those that don't know me, my name is Steven Preston. I was originally involved in the orignal design of the JoeMadureira.com site as well as maintaining it. Now I guess I've come full circle with me being involved with another Joe Mad site.

*Edit*Hey this is Nathen. Yeah I asked Steven to change the banner to show the new Onslaught pic and look what he did...amazing! I really have to thank Steven. The site looks so cool and the new features are so cool too. I have been so busy working and haven't had much time to stop to fix the site or anything for that matter..I have Gears of War, Bully, Vice City Stories all collecting dust because I don't have time to do anything, so it's really nice to get some help. So thanks again Steven I really appreaciate it.

On Newsarama they've revealed Mad's Onslaught Reborn cover that was mentioned on the last news update..you can view it in the latest images. You can read about on newsarama here..it's about half way down the page. Thanks to everyone that wrote me about this.

I have also added 61 new links to the links section. I probably have some more to add but that's about all I can do for now.

At newsarama they have a new article about Ultimates 3 and some news that Christian Lichtner will colore the book. To demonstrate his coloring they showed a new image that I have uploaded to the new images to the right and in the Ultimates section. You can read the rest of the article for some other little tidbits here I'll probably update this more when I have time.

Finally a couple of updates on Mad!..

:Edit: In the new previews you can see a pic of Mad's ELEPHANTMEN #4 cover and it's just recolored version of Unnatural Selection(Hipflask) #1.

Looks like Mad! is doing a cover(it's a flip cover) for ELEPHANTMEN #4. You can read about it on Comics Continuum..it's about half way down the page. The book doesn't come out til October though. Thanks to Corey for the news!

Also looks like he doing the designs for a new comic/game called Iron and the Maiden..you may have to refresh the page sometimes the link doesn't work. One or two of the drawings seems to be his, but it's hard to tell..cause as you can see Francis Manapul has nailed Mad's style. I can't wait for this project to come out. I will write Mad! tonight and see if he can hook us up with the designs he did and maybe the ELEPHANTMEN #4 cover too. Thanks to Weazzle on the boards for the news on this.

I wanted to again thank the guys for mentioning these news items to me. Since I started working I really have no time at all to do anything on the computer anymore or anything..so it's really nice to have you guys let me know what's going on.

For site news I just put 200$ into a seperate account specially for the site, so for sure the site won't be going down or anything for 2 years..I'm not saying the site will go down in 2 years just that it will definitely be here for that long. I also renewed the domain name and it's good for at least 5 more years..just wanted to let you guys know the site isn't going anywhere..I just haven't been around cause of work...my job sucks

later!

Superman/Batman #26 is out and if you haven't already you should pick one up.

In the mean time Mike McMahon has found a site that will be auctioning off the pages from the book. It also has Joe Mad's page in ink which I added to the gallery and you can view all the other pages too, so check it out here LINK and hey if you're rich enough maybe you can actually get a chance to win a Mad! page.

In personal news I just started working full time(I start in about a week). I doubt that will effect updating the site any, but maybe for the next couple weeks until I get used to time schedual things will probably be a little slow around here. The job pays real well too(for me at least), so hopefully I can maybe add some things to the site..like no ads on the message boards or maybe some contests..we shall see

The Vigil Games site has updated, nothing much but there's some art on there. I don't know they're by Mad! yet.

I also updated the Links section with 34 new links and I removed some that haven't been working for a long time.

Other interesting note, in the new Wizard #178 there's an article about J Scott Campbell working on Spider Man. In the article Jeph Loeb shows Campbell at a meeting a binder full of Mad! artwork for Ultimates Vol 3. Campbell says "Joe's style has really evolved. He's really taken it to the next level." You can see some of Campbell's sketches for Spider Man here. I never had any doubts that it would look good, but hearing it from Campbell that Mad! is taking it too the next level makes it hard to not be even more excited for the book...I wish I could see that binder too
